What a lovely "Mother & Daughter" original acrylic painting to add to your collection! The mother's eyes fixating at her daughter reflects so much love. The soft colors so comforting! The artwok was painted by the late famous Haitian master, Carlo Jn-Jacques, who was from the Foyer des Arts Plastiques .
Jn-Jacques was born on May 1st, 1943, and died in 1990 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He paints the social injustice in his country with strong emotions, great purity, and long lines. His art is jealously kept among private collectors in Europe & the United States and rare to find in the art market. "Jean-Jacques Carlo's art might be defined as depicting the poetry of wretchedness," says Gerald Alexis in his book Peintres Haitiens. Get the book Peintres Haitiens here!
